The Problem in Summary…
.
The north wall is in danger of becoming unstable and together with the famous tower needs immediate attention.
Several of the large stained glass windows may start to lose their glass if action is not taken soon.
The poor condition came to light following a survey by church authorities and local people are already planning a campaign of action to raise the estimated £330,000 needed to ensure that Bray Church survives for another 700 years.
The Friends of St. Michael's Bray Emergency Appeal is underway with a launch date of 2nd December and the challenge of raising all the money needed in just 12 months – the work is so urgent that any delay could mean the loss of this ancient and much loved landmark. We have developed a series of events across 2008, each of which will work towards our single target of £330,000 over the next 12 months.
Please get involved. We need your time, your resources, access to your friends and other possible supporters, and most of all your support in delivering the target.
